RSV Baby Vaccine
The RSV season in Ireland is usually from September to February. Immunisation against RSV is the best way to protect your baby. This immunisation is called Nirsevimab.
We are offering free RSV immunisation to:
Babies born between 1 March 2026 and 31 August 2026
We will send an invite to all eligible babies in this cohort so please click the link to book into one of our upcoming clinics.
All babies born from September 1st 2026 will be offered Nirsevimab in the hospital setting
If you are travelling to another country…
Babies age 6 to 11 months can get an MMR vaccine before travelling. You can get the vaccine for free from us here at the Surgery. Try to get the vaccine at least 2 weeks before you travel. Babies under the age of 6 months cannot get the MMR vaccine. But they still have any protection that was passed on during pregnancy. If your baby gets an MMR vaccine before the age of 12 months, this does not change the regular vaccination schedule.
This means they still need to get the doses at age:
12 months
4 to 5 years (in junior infants through their Primary School)
All blood tests must be ordered by a GP or Consultant
You can then also book a test through St. Joseph’s Hospital in Raheny. Please note that results can take up to two weeks from the date of your tests.
Our appointment times run from 9am to 11:20am Mon - Wed and 8am- 11:20am Thurs & Friday.
To book a GP or Consultant requested private blood test please contact us here at the Surgery. Our appointment times run from 9am to 11:20am Mon - Wed and 8am- 11:20am Thurs & Friday.
